This workshop will take you through the hugely satisfying process of creating your own completely unique hand painted wooden jewellery with In Bristol Studio resident Bianca.Â
Bianca has worked as a designer maker with wood for over 15 years, creating everything from furniture to theatre sets. Her jewellery brand Bianca Rose Wood began as a way to use the offcuts and small pieces of interesting woods that found their way into her workshop. Â
Choosing from a selection of beautiful recycled and vintage woods, and Bianca’s signature palette of hand mixed colours, you will be guided through the process of designing, shaping, polishing and hand painting your chosen pieces. There are a wide variety of techniques and styles to choose from, so there really is something to suit all skill levels. Â
Included are all the materials necessary to complete two pieces of jewellery, with 925 sterling silver or gold plated fixings. Tea, coffee and biscuits are also provided. You are invited to bring along your own source of inspiration if you’d like, though this isn’t at all compulsory! Bianca also suggests a sketch book if you want to record your ideas, and your phone or camera to celebrate your finished pieces.
