HOW TO FIND US

By bus:  nos 42 | 43 | 44 | 45 leave from Colston Avenue or Broadmead Horsefair and stop near Lawrence Hill Station. The number 36  leaves Baldwin Street and stops on Queen Anne Road. For times and further information go to:  www.firstgroup.com or call traveline 0871 200 22 33.

On foot: It takes about 20 to 30 minutes to walk from the Centre of Bristol.  The quickest route is to walk across Castle Park, past the Evening Post building onto Old Market Street and carry on until the Lawrence Hill roundabout. Keep going in the same direction and Ducie Road is the second turn on the right. Go past the Barton Hill Settlement, onto Barton Hill Road, left onto Queen Anne Road then right past Barton Hill Primary School. Turn left onto Maze Street where you will see signs directing you to the Studio.

By bike: There are cycle racks in the car park of the Studio.  Bikes cannot be brought into the Studio space for Health & Safety reasons.

By train:  The Avonmouth – Bristol Temple Meads train stops at Lawrence Hill Station which is a five minute walk to the Studio.

By car:  From M32 take exit 3 and follow signposts to Bath.  At the first roundabout continue straight onto the A4320 – St Phillips Causeway. Keep in the left lane and take the slip road left by Big Yellow Storage, onto Days Road. At the little roundabout, take the second exit onto Barrow Road, which turns into Barton Hill Road. Take the right down Queen Ann Road down to the mini roundabout and then take the second exit staying on Queen Anne Road.  Take the first left on to Maze Street and then the next left on to Aiken Street and then the first right on to Great Western Lane and our entrance is through our small carp park on the right opposite Cotton Mill Lane.  The car park is often full so you’ll need to find parking on the nearby streets.

NEW BUS GATES IN OPERATION

From June 2025 Bristol City Council has installed Bus Gates on Marsh Lane and Avonvale Road.  This means that you will be fined if you drive through them, however you’ll be fine if you follow the instructions above (see map below).
