Tiany often creates pieces that are a means of processing her own emotions and turning them into something. She likes creating symbols of luck and protection, telling stories through her work, and drawing on shared experiences. She loves to learn new skills and work with new materials, but mostly works in metal, clay, wax, wood, textiles and words.
After studying creative writing in Falmouth, Cornwall, she moved back to her hometown of Bristol in 2018 and began her craft practice. Tiany loves the craft process, especially as a means to translate what cannot easily be said into something that can be held – and she’ll be forever grateful to her two hands for allowing her to do it.
