Creatively producing events, interventions and site specific installations that keep local stakeholders at the heart, Kerry believes strongly in participatory arts & engagement, developing concepts that utilise ideas born from people + place and translating them into meaningful projects that are delivered through not-for-profit arts organisation: Studio Meraki.
Having worked extensively within the field of Arts + Health for nearly two decades, Kerry continues to work with large regional organisations to design and deliver programmes of creative sessions with a focus on health and wellbeing. Being passionate about enabling others to explore their creativity, Kerry delivers artistic experiences that support participants to find the ‘spark’ that gets them engaged.
She is part of the small team that recently set up Gather + Ground, a collective of multi-passionate, big-hearted artists and creative facilitators who provide creative membership, workshops and courses that support people to be truly nurtured in head, heart and hands.
Kerry is also associate designer for Play:Disrupt. She is responsible for devising and fabricating creative consultancy tools that support the delivery of Play:Disrupts work which aims to widen engagement, especially with communities who’ve been overlooked.
Play:Disrupt supports a take-part society, seeking out barriers to engagement and inventing playful ways to overcome them. They invite people to play with different perspectives and make complicated issues easy to understand. Active engagement empowers participants, encourages collaboration, and allows more voices to share the stage.
