Jude Hutchen is primarily a painter with a penchant for graphic pattern and strong colour. She takes painting in its broadest sense to explore with a range of 2d and 3d visual media. As an ‘impatient printmaker’ she uses unusual low tech methods, including a spaghetti maker machine, and recycled materials.
She also works with people and is an experienced facilitator and community development worker, co-producing participatory art projects which address and create ‘visibility’ around social injustice.  As Creative Research Coordinator for Wellspring Settlement she has developed a methodology in partnership with the University of Bristol to amplify minority voices and develop creative platforms for change.
