Specialising in digital embroidery techniques, Black Olive designer Charly Evans creates capsule collections of hooded bodysuits, embellished kimonos and customised bomber jackets as well as offering upcycling service, using embroidery to update denim jackets and jumpers.
Charly is also a co-organiser of the Bristol Fashion Show.
She graduated with a BA Hons in Theatrical Costume Design and Production in 2007, and she will be dipping her toes back into the costume industry on some big big projects in the near future.
The photo shows a second-hand bomber jacket that Charly upcycled with appliqué crafted from wool, leather, and metallic fabrics. The vibrant colours and unique shape draw inspiration from a recent exhibition of Shepard Fairey @obeygiant stunning stencil art.
